I have gone to this office over 4 years now. There has never been any problems with getting an appointments. The doctors and staff are great and very efficient before, during and after your visits. Dr. Thrasher is my hero!

Emily - Bealeton, VA
Have been going here since they opened, and going to these doctors since before they were FMA. Best doctors I have had, best service, knowledgeable, and make you comfortable.

Robin - Fredericksburg, Va
This place is a zoo. The best Dr. there was Dr. Thrasher and he has moved on. The receptionist manager is rude as well as the other staff. They rarely return phone calls and when you call them you are on hold for a while and prescription refills is a whole other story.

Jennifer - Locust Grove, Va
I only see Dr. Scripps. This practice would be nothing without him. Long wait in waiting room. Rarely return your calls and a 48 to 72 hour policy regarding RX.

John - Opal, VA
The whole reason to go to FMA is Dr. Scripps. He makes medicine fun, but functional. I go away with my questions answered, but I do go in prepared with questions. The front office is the usual zoo, but Scripps keeps me coming back. They charge $50 for missed appointments so watch out. Also, if you are scheduled for a Physical in the afternoon confirm your blood work will be drawn at the appointment. I fasted the required time, ate nothing all day, went to the physical and heard the blood technician went home because no one fasts for afternoon appointments. Ug. So now I call and make sure the technician will be there and if not and let them know my hourly charge for the extra visit to the lab.

Chris - Centreville, VA
Dr. Scripps is GREAT, especially with kids. I have since moved from Bealeton, but because my sons love him so much we go back to see him for their yearly physicals. Luckily, my kids aren't sick often!

Janet - Midland, Va
This office has went under new management several times and this latest practice manager is a hoot. She is dull, never returns nor answers phone calls and very un-professional not to mention the illiterate staff in the front office. The Dr's aren't too bad.

I had my 2 year old daughter in the office because she was having difficulty breathing. Dr King told me that she thought my daughter had allergies (red flag). I could tell she had no idea what was wrong. After I had gone to get some Claritin (?) and a chest x-ray I took her home. My daughter had not awoke from the night before and it was now 2pm when I called Dr King and let her know I was not comfortable and was going to take her to the ER. Dr. King never returned my call and my daughter was admitted to the hospital with bacterial pneumonia where she stayed for four days. Her blood oxygen levels were 65 and they are supposed to be between 96 and 100. Throughout the hospital stay I was told that my child was very ill and that I was right for bringing her in to the ER, Something that I would not normally do because I usually trust my doctor’s judgment. Two weeks later when the office did return my call I was told that they had returned my call the day I took her to the hospital. This was not the case. This is not the first incident my husband and I have had where we had questioned the doctor and following our stay in the hospital my husband and I have decided to change to a local pediatrician who saw her in the hospital.

I have been seeing Dr.Scripps for several years now and have recommended him to several people and anyone else who sees him is impressed and satisfied. He is truly an asset to the community. I have also seen Mrs.Ragan,NP, she is truly skilled and takes time to listen to you. She demonstrates knowledge in her profession. I have not had a problem with the office staff. The "help" in the back is another matter. My "help" during the last visit was rude and said one sentence to me while she checked my weight, bp, and temperature (what a shame that people working with people have no people skills)

My children have been seeing FMA for a few years now. I try to keep them scheduled with Dr. Matthew Scripps. He is an excellent doctor and my kids adore him. He has excellent bedside manners. Even his brother is a orthpedic doc and sees my handicapped daughter. Thank god for the Scripps Family.

Dr. Scripps is a gem when it comes to dealing with kids. He makes the well child visits fun. When he's stumped, he's not afraid to admit it and whip out the medical textbook right in front of you. He's not pushy about vaccines, leaving it to the parent to decide. Dr. Tate is probably the most competent doctor in the practice as far as medical knowledge goes. He usually guesses what's wrong on the first try without having to run 8 tests, so compared to the other two, he's either smarter or a psychic. If one of the kids is actually sick, I usually hope we see Dr. Tate. Dr. King is not our favorite. She's got a schoolmarm demeanor that my kids don't like much, and I'm not sure she's ever been right about a diagnosis, though she's always sounded very sure of herself. The nurses are sweethearts. The office staff is kind of sullen and medically illiterate. You have to act like a stalker and leave multiple messages to get a call back from any of these people. Overall, we're not overjoyed with the practice, but have learned how to approach the staff to get what we need.

Virginia - Bealeton, VA
I love this practice. I have seen Dr. King and Dr. Scripps for many years. Dr. King is very good with chronic problems, as weel as Dr. Scripps. Dr. Scripps also does back adjustments. Dr. Tate has seen my child 2 times and diagnosed his problem right away and prescribed what was needed. I hope I never have to leave this practice. The staff is friendly. I trust my entire family with this practice.

The Physicians at Fauquier Medical Associates are intelligent, hardworking, and care about their patients! The nurses there are fabulous and kind and considerate. My whole family have been seen by every Doctor there and we have never had problems that were previously described by other reviewers at this site. Not to mention I and one of my children have chronic medical conditions. The front staff are caring and efficient as well as pleasant. The decor is outdated but as long as they continue to care for our family properly we will continue to trust them as our Family Physicians!!

Terrah - Warrenton, Va
We've never had negative experiences with this Medical Practice. They are very busy and do their best to care for many patients. I know I have needed to be seen urgently and they worked me in. Dr. Tate and his nurse,Trish treated with respect and kindness. They answered my questions and genuinely cared for me. I would recommend them to my friends.
